Allen Jones, (M70-74) easily eclipsed the All American standard in the 8om Hurdles in his first hurdle race ever---yes, never attempted to hurdle until training with, and coaching from, the Cascade Masters group the past few months. The times keep coming down for Jay Ruuska (M50-54) as he lowers his season best 100m to 13.21 and his 200m time to 27.24 William Won (M55-59) tossed a 105' 5' Javelin mark to open his throw season. And the season debut for Don Wilson (M65-69) saw a brilliant sub-30 second 200m time. More details to come.

Still low attendance in the masters group, but did see two come out of the stands to have a full heat in the 100m event, won by Jay Ruuska in 13.37, closely followed by teammate Sean Anderson in 13.74.

The masters attendance was slight and overpowered by the more than 200 youth participants in the first all-comers meet of the year at Tumwater HS. Th meet participants included several state place finishers from last week's state championship meets.
